When trading a mini lot (10k units of currency), each pip is worth roughly one unit of the currency in which your account is denominated. If your account is denominated in USD, for example, each pip (depending on the currency pair) is worth about $1

I almost got stopped out a few times. On one occasion, I was only a pip away.

After price went sideways for a half an hour price dropped as expected.

I closed trade because I am leaving my desk in about 5 mins. with news in at 13:30 BST, I felt it was better to bank the profit.
